For property & facility managers · I-75 South corridor

Day porter services for buildings from McDonough to Macon.

A day porter is the difference between a building that is cleaned overnight and a building that looks looked-after at two in the afternoon. It is standard in Atlanta and strangely rare on this corridor — which is exactly why we offer it.

What a day porter actually solves

Nightly cleaning fixes last night. It does nothing for the lunchtime rush.

Overnight janitorial resets a building once every twenty-four hours. Everything that happens in between — the spill in the lobby, the restroom that runs out at eleven, the conference room that needs turning around before a two o’clock, the entrance glass after a wet morning — waits until tonight. Tenants and visitors see the gap, and the property manager hears about it.

A day porter closes that gap by being there during business hours: common-area restrooms checked and restocked on a round, spills and trash handled as they happen, entrances and glass kept presentable, meeting rooms reset, and small things fixed before anyone has to report them. For a multi-tenant building it is also the most visible signal that the property is actively managed.

Because the porter is already on site, the same visit absorbs work that would otherwise need separate vendors and separate invoices — breakroom and consumables restocking, meeting-room resets, and routine touch-up work. That is usually where the arrangement pays for itself.

How it is structured

Sized to the building, not sold as a package.

Coverage is scoped from what the building actually needs — a few hours a day for a small property, or full business-hours presence for a busy one. Pricing follows a walkthrough, never a phone estimate.

Common questions

Day porter services, answered.

How many hours does a building actually need?

It depends on traffic, the number of common-area restrooms and how visible the lobby is. Smaller properties are often well served by a partial-day presence; busy multi-tenant buildings justify full business-hours coverage. We size it at the walkthrough rather than selling a fixed block.

Is this instead of nightly cleaning, or as well?

Usually as well. They solve different problems — the porter handles the day as it happens, the nightly programme resets the building. Both can sit under one documented scope and one point of contact, which is simpler to manage and simpler to hold to account.

How is a day porter priced?

On the hours the building needs and what those hours cover, agreed after a walkthrough. We do not publish an hourly rate, because a number without a defined scope is exactly the kind of quote we would tell you to be sceptical of.

Can the porter also keep the breakrooms stocked?

Yes, and it is usually the most economical part of the arrangement. Someone is already on site, so restocking coffee, consumables and paper against a documented profile adds very little time while removing a task from your staff.
